Chrysocolla Sonora Stone Handmade Pendant Wrapped in Silver

This pendant is made of Peruvian Chrysocolla and hand wrapped in 12 gauge sterling silver wire.

Chrysocolla is a hydrous copper silicate usually found in association with Malachite and Azurite. This mineral was named from the Greek word meaning “ Gold glue” due to its common use in soldering Gold. The most beautiful pieces of Chrysocolla have come out of Chile, Congo, Russia, and the USA. Found in deposits alongside its cousins Blue Azurite and Malachite, this gemstone forms amorphous shapes called stalactites, which contribute to its ability to create a flow of positive energy that helps you adapt to changes during a spiritual transformation. It’s historical uses often relied upon its unique coloration. It was also ground into a fine powder used to create pigment for paint during the Renaissance period.
